RIDGEFIELD PARK Established in 1892. Known for having the longest running Fourth of July parade in the state, Ridgefield Park is a small town with a lot of history. Named after the area’s terrain, many residents have lived in the village their entire life, choosing to raise their children in the same town they grew up in. The Board of Commissioners, who govern the village, pride themselves on remaining non-partisan government, in which the Mayor serves as the head of the commissioners.
